On the journey of my life so far, I have taken on many roles: student, daughter, wife, mother, friend, model, beauty pageant winner, and counselor. But beyond these roles, I often forget that I am still just myself.
TEMPORARILY SEPARATED FROM MYSELF
In my late teens, I won several beauty pageant titles in China. My modeling career was at a promising point where I could really build on it and move forward. At the same time, I was very eager to study abroad and told myself that I wanted to achieve the highest runway in the world. Unfortunately, for personal reasons and not wanting to part with my family, I temporarily set aside my dreams and ambitions.
MEET MYSELF AGAIN AFTER SUCH A LONG SEPARATION
Little did I know that this separation would last for 20 years. I am grateful to the part of myself that stayed put and didn't give up waiting for my return, and I appreciate the version of me that kept the small flame of hope alive in my heart. Now, finally, I have reconnected with myself, and I return with greater wisdom, more inner strength and deeper self-awareness. I moved from China to New York in 2023. It's time to ignite the flame within me. I will accompany myself step by step to fulfill the dreams I have held for 20 years. I will not give up until the end of my life.
